Civilian Corrections Assistant
THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAS AN OPENING FOR A CIVILIAN CORRECTIONS ASSISTANT WITHIN THE CORRECTIONS DIVISION. STARTING SALARY $29,218.00 WITH EXCELLENT BENEFITS. Licensed Practical Nurse
THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE HAS AN OPENING FOR A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE IN THE MEDICAL UNIT OF THE JAIL FACILITY. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: HAVING PERSONAL CONTACT AND INTERACTION WITH INMATES TO PROMOTE HEALTH, SAFETY AND TRANQUILITY; DOCUMENT MEDICAL EVENTS AND CHART TREATMENT; RESPOND TO ON SCENE SITUATIONS WITHIN THE FACILITY; PROVIDE DAILY SICK CALL; ASSIST FACILITY PHYSICIAN; DISPENSE MEDICATION TO INMATES; ATTEND TRAINING AS REQUIRED. Call Takers
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Call Takers in our 911 Center. PRIOR to acceptance of application, you must take a typing test and receive a score of 38 wpm with 92% accuracy. NO EXCEPTIONS. Additional types of testing may be required.
Starting salary is $26,496.00 with full benefit package, including Florida State Retirement. Minimum qualifications: Excellent background, high school diploma or GED, must be 18 years of age or older, must be able to work 12 hour shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
