The bicyclist was trauma alerted per paramedics on scene and was flown to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.  His condition is currently not known.

The witness stated the vehicle is possibly dark in color and was described as a utility type, so it possibly has a bed topper shell.  The suspect vehicle has an unknown amount of right front end damage and is missing the right front headlight assembly.   From the scene evidence obtained the headlight assembly was used by Dodge Motor Company on the following pick up trucks:  2002 - 2005 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 Medium Duty, & 3500 Heavy Duty models that also include dually models.

Anyone with information reference to this case please contact Deputy Mike Snowhill with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office at 772 569-6700. Reference IRCSO case #2009-121131.
