The NLC-Emergency Management Training Program provides in-depth emergency management training to local officials. The program addresses the four missions of emergency management: prevention, protection, response and recovery.
The NLC-Emergency Management Training Program supports the Department of Homeland Security’s National Preparedness Goals of expanded regional collaboration, strengthened information sharing and interoperability communications.
The program is sponsored by the National League of Cities, with collaboration from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and support from the Department of Homeland Security. The National League of Cities is the nation’s oldest and largest organization devoted to strengthening and promoting cities as centers of opportunity, leadership and governance. NLC is a resource and advocate for 19,000 cities, towns and villages, representing more than 218 million Americans.
