Beginning September 8th, 2010, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office would like to invite you to attend the 33rd Citizen’s Academy.  This academy session is FREE.  NO textbooks, NO exams.  This academy session will meet each Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. from September 8th through Graduation on November 10th, 2010

The 33rd Indian River County Sheriff's Citizen’s Academy is a ten-week session that provides the citizen’s of this community an overview of how law enforcement and the justice system work hand-in-hand to serve Indian River County.  The goal of the academy is to provide a greater perspective, respect and appreciation for the challenges and decisions faced daily in safeguarding our community.

Students will receive dynamic sessions with court judges, State Attorneys, Public Defenders and knowledgeable instructors from all divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.   Tour the Courthouse, the Jail, the 911 Center and the Special Operations Section of the Sheriff’s Office.

There is limited seating and pre-registration is required.  Any one interested in attending, please contact Debs Anderson at 772-978-6042 today.
