Medical
The Medical unit provides basic medical, dental and mental health services to persons incarcerated at the facility, while operating in similarity to a walk-in clinic. The Medical Unit of the Correctional Facility has evolved into an extension of the "Local Indigent Health Care Network", in that the vast majority of clients treated through the County Indigent Care program(s) are the same people incarcerated in the Correctional Facility. Additionally, the lack of state funded resources for the mentally ill has transcended the Correctional Facility into a place where large numbers of people diagnosed with mental illnesses find themselves.
