General Services

General Services provides a wide array of responsibility.
The General Services Unit is a multifunctional department within the Sheriff's Office. This is a diverse unit which is responsible for Purchasing, Telecommunications, Asset Management, the Armory, Supplies, Uniforms, Shipping and Receiving, The Company Store and our Print Shop.
Its Mission is to provide the highest level of Customer Service through a series of efficient and effective actions that create customer satisfaction both internally and externally.
The function of the Purchasing Department is to secure the best prices from vendors, request bids and quotes, process purchase orders and track inventory. The Asset Manager is responsible for the accountability of over $16 million dollars in assets assigned to the Sheriff's Department. The Armorer is responsible for the repairing, tracking and testing of all weapons owned by the agency.
Our Telecommunications Coordinator maintains the agency wide telephone system which consists of over 500 extensions. Other duties include tracking and maintaining cellular phones, along with maintenance and programming of over 600 portable and mobile radios used by the department.
Facility Management is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of the Sheriff’s Office and coordinating any building repairs with the County.
