This form is an agreement between you and the Indian River County Sheriff's Office. By submitting this form, you hereby certify that you have read and understood the terms and conditions hereinafter described. In the interest of deterring crime and promoting public safety, you agree that the Indian River County Sheriff's Office may contact you directly to request surveillance footage if there is reason to believe that your security system has captured evidence of criminal activity. You further understand and agree that you are solely responsible for your security camera system and that you assume all risks and liability regarding the use and operation of such system. You understand that the contact information, footage, and other information you provide or make available to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office may be available to third-party storage, software, and other service providers. The Sheriff's providers, with links, are listed on the Providers page, and the list and links may be posted to that page without any other notice. You may use that page to link to the terms and conditions required by the Sheriff's providers, and those terms and conditions may be updated by the Sheriff's providers without any other notice. You agree to comply with any applicable terms and conditions. It is the policy of the Indian River County Sheriff's Office to limit disclosure of information and footage to official law enforcement purposes; however, some disclosure may arise from public records requests, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal processes. Any information or footage provided by you to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office is done so voluntarily and with the understanding that it could be disclosed. You hereby waive, release, and discharge the Indian River County Sheriff's Office and its employees, representatives, and agents from any and all liability arising from or in connection with the use of your security system or your participation in this program. You may terminate your participation in this program upon written request, but this agreement applies to information and footage you have provided through the date of termination. The Indian River County Sheriff's Office makes no warranties, representations, or guarantees that are not expressly stated herein, including without limitation as to the effectiveness of this program in reducing or resolving crime or protecting any person from death or serious injury, or the noninfringement of any software or services. Under no circumstances shall this form be interpreted as an authorization for any registrant to act as an agent and/or employee of the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
